Crimzon Clover is sorta my shmup retirement game, unsure if I should go the TypeX2 multi route or get a cheap PC and hyperspin it, suggestions welcome.

Re: What PCB are you lusting after right now?
The only boards I really want are;
Garegga - I don't really need this, as the saturn version is fine, but wuld be nice.
Futari - I have Mushi 1, so Mushi 2 would also be a good accomanyment. I had thought about Sai dai ou jou, but to be honest I've never really played the 360 version much. If I set that up in a cab and played it a bit more, it might change my mind, or perhaps I may stick with my 360 version.
SF Zero (1) - Would like this and the art just to complete my Zero collection.
MVS KOF '96 - I have all the KOF homecarts and Neo CD's but I don't have a KOF MVS (shock horror), I always can't make up my mind, but I think 96 does it for me overall.
MVS BREAKERS - After missing out on a home cart auction years ago, ive resigned myself to picking up this on MVS.
That's pretty much it, I have all the shooters and fighters that I never play anyway.

Re: What PCB are you lusting after right now?
I am really struggling not to go PCB hunting for a couple of games. I don't need them, I don't want to spend the money, yet I've got some bug about a small heavily curated PCB collection...
Omega Fighter (or Special).
Street Fighter II (I think CE or HF, I'm unconvinced by Super/Turbo)
Raiden DX (again... and maybe)

Ce to me is a go to outside of ssf2x ,I like x but I'm mostly crap average at it and ce is nearly what grew up with lol(ww mainly) but more fun overall
I have an itch to scratch with final fight as I really have a like /loath it feeling for it overall.. Don't know why the last time I owned it cost 70 quid so paying more than that has kept me from buying it again

Re: What PCB are you lusting after right now?
My PCB collecting has been pretty much done for a couple of years now. There are a couple of PCBs I'd still like but every time they crop up, if I have the money there's usually something else I'd rather spend it on, so I pass, which is daft as the prices just keep going up. I feel so lucky to have got into the hobby 15 years ago because starting now I wouldn't get half the collection.

Re: What PCB are you lusting after right now?
Growing up I didn't have access to arcades, so I've no real nostalgia for anything particular - and the stuff that I do recall I've been able to try and scratch that itch.
This has all come about since discovering Omega Fighter. The game kind of fits with New Zealand Story in my head, although I struggle to explain the categorisation going on. It's a really tight game. Same with SF2. I'm being hugely dismissive of games I thoroughly enjoy playing - I see zero reason to own them even if the ones that I think are worth owning only ever sit on a shelf.
Everything else CPS1/CPS2... nah. Maybe Ghouls n Ghosts, yet that sits in a spot where TNZS utterly obliterates it.
I suppose what I'm looking for are my subjective "pinnacle" games.
Shrug, rambling.

Re: What PCB are you lusting after right now?
I gave up chasing PCB’s a few years ago when we started seeing the huge percentage price increases. There’s a few I’d still like, but the only thing over £100 i’ve bought recently was a MOTW cart. The last few on my list before prices went **** are
DFK 1.5
DoDonPachi
Twinkle Star Sprites
Metal Slug 5
Rainbow Islands
Deathsmiles II
Dolphin Blue
Turtles in Time
None of them have ever been ‘cheap’ games, I know I can get the cart ones for a few hundred quid or less, but frankly can’t be arsed anymore. I’m happy to have what I have and glad I got started when I did.

Re: What PCB are you lusting after right now?
Same, few regretful sold items and passing on things but meh most the time I feel like offloading some
A few games I have an nostalgic itch for are fairly cheap crap and easily playable on the pi
Subjective pinnacle I wish I could be so decisive

Re: What PCB are you lusting after right now?
I've never really got into the tnzs , any flutterings I've had with it are mainly the 1st stage or 2 and I've no nostalgia for it as I don't ever remember coming across it in any arcade ,GNG has a bit of nostaligia bug as its always been around between arcades and home ports and while i still have mainly only played the 1st few stages it draws me in more than tnzscools wrote: ↑June 11th, 2020, 2:03 pm Growing up I didn't have access to arcades, so I've no real nostalgia for anything particular - and the stuff that I do recall I've been able to try and scratch that itch.

maybe I probably need to give it more time to get it. i might fire it up on the pi when i get a chance and stick with it for a while.
