Did anyone get their deposits back from SMJ? They’ve ignored all of my emails.

I can confirm that I got my deposit back within 24hours too.
Hopefully your mail was just overlooked, and it'll be picked up if you give them a nudge.

Pretty sure I'm being ignored. I've sent 6 emails from 2 different email addresses over the last few weeks.

Worst case scenario is they did all the refunds they could but didn't have enough money to refund everyone, so the remaining people are being ignored. I've seen that happen in another company.
It's probably just some sort of error that they will fix soon, though. Keep asking them!

Re: Items you can't afford on Yahoo Japan Auctions
They came back on my 7th email last night after I mentioned getting debt recovery involved. Basically said my account has been inactive for a year, and the money is now theirs. Said it’s in the terms. I’ve checked the terms and I can’t see anything that says that. I’ve asked for the location of those terms, and if I’ve not heard anything back tomorrow it’s going to debt recovery. They’ve ignored me and been rude when they finally responded so fk ‘em.

That's terrible. Hope you can get your money back through debt recovery.

I wonder what's a fair price for 1941: Counter Attack. A 'Junk' PCB is currently available on Yahoo, but it's already at 40k Yen

Twistedsymphony on A-P dug a bit more into this and may have some info to help, in case you haven't seen it: https://www.arcade-projects.com/forums/ ... post191668phillv85 wrote: ↑January 17th, 2020, 8:53 am They came back on my 7th email last night after I mentioned getting debt recovery involved. Depends on exactly when you signed up, but there's a very good chance you didn't agree to those terms at all.

Re: Items you can't afford on Yahoo Japan Auctions
Not that it helps but I took my deposit /used it on my 1st shipment with them years ago and my spending limit bidding/ limit always stayed the same...just presumed everyone did the same.
What do they consider inactive ? No log in in over a year no bids or no auctions won in over a year?

That was a mistake on their end. Normally you couldn't do that. I used my deposit for shipping and had to put down a new deposit later.

Re: Items you can't afford on Yahoo Japan Auctions
Thanks for the heads up. It sounds like the issues at SMJ may be deeper than them just shutting down. I’m guessing my money is gone and SMJ will be liquidated before any debt recovery company sent anyone to their offices.Dache wrote: ↑January 18th, 2020, 6:06 pmTwistedsymphony on A-P dug a bit more into this and may have some info to help, in case you haven't seen it: https://www.arcade-projects.com/forums/ ... post191668phillv85 wrote: ↑January 17th, 2020, 8:53 am They came back on my 7th email last night after I mentioned getting debt recovery involved.
