50/60Hz mains question

Before I spunk the big bucks on one of these beauties, I assume I need 50Hz? I had no idea Japan used both. I'm hoping it has multi-voltage PSU but what if I use a stepdown? Still 50?

Never mind, googled it. A step-down doesn't change the frequency.

No the frequecy stays the same , some devices can take both , others don't and put stress on components as well as run at incorrect speeds etc . I believe from my terrible knowledge of power some lights, and the likes would be ok ,big ticket items not so much....

Me too.

Ideally I'd plug it into the stepdown with my MVS cab so they come on together but there's not really room.

Lol,
Although the 50/60 label thing on the mt8 makes more sense now... I never bothered to translate it
