Vasara Collection (and the great shmups license sell-off)
Brazilian publisher QUByte Interactive have just announced they've purchased the rights to some, if not all of Visco's back catalogue and are releasing a Vasara double pack on all formats next year.
This follows City Connection acquiring Jaleco's back catalogue and releasing Game Paradise Cruisin' Mix on PS4 and developing for Exa, ZeroDiv porting Psikyo shmups to Switch, M2 porting Cave and Raizing and of course Hamster's ACA featuring titles by SNK, Taito, Konami, Technos, Nichibusu, UPL and more. There seems to be some sort of Data East revival going on too.

Spotted this earlier too. Vasara's not a particular favourite of mine but I'll definitely be grabbing a double pack, Vasara 2 is much more fun.
It's great there are enough sales happening for these releases to be viable.

Switch seems like it's going to have quite a line up available. I hope the rest of these ports follow the great work of hamster.SuperPang wrote: This follows City Connection acquiring Jaleco's back catalogue and releasing Game Paradise Cruisin' Mix on PS4 and developing for Exa, ZeroDiv porting Psikyo shmups to Switch, M2 porting Cave and Raizing and of course Hamster's ACA featuring titles by SNK, Taito, Konami, Technos, Nichibusu, UPL and more. I've had one since launch, but I've only gotten a few carts for the kids to play, although I did have fun with mario.garrz32 wrote:The switch is the console to get for some great titles in the horizon.Daniel B. wrote:

Do we have a list of games somewhere on the forum that are on the way? Would something like this be useful for us?

It’s half price on the switch store: https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Ninten ... count+Code
It’s a weird way of doing it, but it means I’ve bought it twice, physical and digital
Released tomorrow

It would be nearly rude not to buy it.
