Preserving software in CRT Monitors

Post by ArcadeHacker »

Dear forum, I have started an effort to document and preserve software inside CRT monitors eg: computer, arcade, PVM or BVM screens.

If you would like to collaborate, please document and dump any of your monitors known to have easy to access software, ie eproms, flash, fram etc. Any monitors using MCUs with internal rom can be documented now and addressed later.

Thank you.

Excellent. I've been thinking of this myself.

A great idea and really ignored thing...

Rather easy to do if chips are in sockets and you're doing for example the recapping anyway...
