If you're selling - and can wait until next month - hit me up
I bought a Japanese one w/ art and instructions for £550 (probably more like £570 with currency conversion to yen) earlier in the year. Although given how GBP has tanked since then, you can probably add £45-£50 for the same transaction nowIkaru wrote: ↑July 31st, 2019, 6:37 pmThe last one (international version ) was sold here for 500 euros not 550£markedkiller78 wrote: ↑July 31st, 2019, 6:06 pmWho knows I’m sure I’ve seen a few Int versions (probably the same pcb) sell for £550

I probably wasn't banking on necessarily going as high as 800 EUR either. The last few I've seen in the last year or so have been more like 80,000 yen. Still a lot...but a bit better, I guess.

80k yens without shipping and commissions and maybye customs fees ....it’s the same unfortunately and it was the last year...Grinning Cat wrote: ↑July 31st, 2019, 10:26 pmBummer Thanks for letting me know, thoughPorthos wrote: ↑July 31st, 2019, 9:49 pmI'm sorry mate, unfortunately I'm not selling oneGrinning Cat wrote: ↑July 31st, 2019, 8:33 pm

Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread
I usually do 300 yen basic fowarding and mark everything at 500 yen and a 'gift' - so no Customs and less than £3 comission Although no insurance either
STV actually had a Cyvern on his site for I think 79k (with free shipping) that sat there for ages before it went recently-ish. He seems to mark everything down to avoid Customs by default, anyway. Although I tend to only shop there as a last resort

Same here FromJapan is cheap for small items. Rinkya is only good for item over 200'000 or more.
Both proxy bidders send you the item as you tell them. 500yen per item is fine.

Yeah, as if a 500 Yen declared PCB is going through without any issues

Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread
I think 1500/2000yen is the sweet spot (per item), but we also get taxed on the shipping value.
It's not so much about avoiding customs, more like making the charge as low as possible.

Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread
I’ve honestly not had any issues marking that low via FromJapan - and have probably made a good 20 orders. Perhaps I’ve been extremely lucky and am jinxing myself now The only time I’ve been charged/had anything stopped with FJ is when I completely forgot to mark down a console – and was (unsurprisingly) hammered.
Wow, that really sucks I’ve never had that happen. Although I have several nightmare stories where I haven’t been able to mark down the value (like when ordering from Mandarake)…and I’ve been charged crazy amounts Well above the normal 20% + clearance.Ikaru wrote: ↑August 1st, 2019, 12:17 pmI said maybye customs fees but the last time the customs blocked the parcel and asked me we want to see the invoice with the payementGrinning Cat wrote: ↑July 31st, 2019, 11:10 pm

Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread
Yeah, German customs are a breed of their own... I mean they are dumb, but not that dumb to realize a PCB is not only worth 5 quid
Plus the limit for commercial parcels is only 22€ and that's with shipping included. So it's almost impossible to circumvent extra fees. I had some PCBs pass through but that was pure luck.
Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread
I paid taxes 39.99 euros for an item with a value of 2000 yens .....i don’t understand them for example I paid 52 euros for 6 stools with an invoice of 5000 yens and the 3 stools for 60 dollars from rancor I didn’t pay anything

Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread
Here in Switzerland it depends on where the shippment is reviewed.
SAL shipments are usualy not taxed at all.
EMS etc are done by a different team. They are expecting small and valuable items. They check ebay for prices.
