Re: Modern Jamma games
Plenty of us fans are aware that Exa Arcadia is another platform that supports both JVS and JAMMA, with bonus of having up to 4 cartridges like Neo Geo.
I am glad that Griffin Aerotech has risen from the ashes with a new gungeon game (freedom force seems to be canceled at this point) with modern technology implemented such as LCD TVs and such.
I don't know if other indie games support JAMMA or use custom input wiring such as Cosmonauts, Killer Queen, Deathball, or even Black Emperor.
If you are going to include unofficial items, then there are multiple multi-cade systems that are JAMMA ready such as Pandora's Box series plus Hyperspin software for home arcade use.

"AIRFRAME is the name of our first arcade hardware unit. It’s based around AMD components and a JAMMA interface for audio, video, controls and power."
Sounds pretty interesting, and nice to see other new hardware in the arcade arena.

If they made a Beat 'Em Up with the quality of SKYCURSER, I'd be the happiest man alive.

There was one in development, but like MrJBRPG said, it seems to have been canceled:SailorLodestar wrote: ↑June 16th, 2019, 7:38 pmIf they made a Beat 'Em Up with the quality of SKYCURSER, I'd be the happiest man alive.

Re: Modern Jamma games
The art style in Skycurser is nice, I've not had an opportunity to find out how the final version plays. I've heard both positive and negative feedback about the game and hardware.
NG Dev Team have mentioned that they intend to release a non PC based, JAMMA system that accepts cartridges.
The first two titles would be updated versions KBuster and Neo XYX. There has been no news on the project for a long time now.

Re: Modern Jamma games
Those games look freakin' awesome, but they seem on the expensive side. I haven't seen that many retro JAMMA boards going for more than $300-500 and they're asking nearly $1000 for a JAMMA setup for an indie game? Like I said, the games look awesome but that seems so steep to me.

Re: Modern Jamma games
If I type "Jamma PCB" into ebay, most of the results are between $300 and $500. There are a few rare ones I've seen for almost $1000 but the majority seem to be in an affordable range.

In what dimension do you live, where PCB's are still affordable? I want to go there and buy my remaining grails!

Re: Modern Jamma games
What? Just because Cave titles are prohibitively expensive doesn't mean everything else is. I could see the bulk of my collection selling for 100-200 euros / PCB.
