Hey guys,
My ms8 had a vertical collapse the other day (will send to Jomac)
I'm replacing my ms8 with an MS9 which I had the MS9 monitor working 100% when I was doing some testing for my racing cab..
Even got it working to 24khz
Now for the love of God... I can't get a proper image on the monitor when I put a Pandora/jpac or raspberryjamma on my astro city.
It's like I need a VHOLD but I cannot find a VHOLD pot.
Anybody have suggestions?

i reckon that is a video ground problem, you may need to link the video ground pin 14 to ground pin 1

I initially thought ground issue too...grantspain wrote: ↑April 15th, 2019, 8:34 am i reckon that is a video ground problem, you may need to link the video ground pin 14 to ground pin 1
I've checked continuity between all ground points and I get the good old "beep" on the multimeter.
Checked a different cab and still the same issue.
I'll continue to re-check

just want to point out that some jamma looms have video ground on pin 14 and some have it on pin 1, some game boards have video ground on pin 14 and some on pin 1- if you link 14 to 1 quickly then you can prove it
its not a chassis fault 100%

Whenever the pcb is connected, pin 1 and 14 have continuity - still the same issue.
I tried putting the GND directly to the PSU - still the same issue.
I don't want to strip the wires on the harness, so I might try a different PSU and another jamma harness and try and test that way.

also be aware the video ground is white on the nanao and sync is blue/white- if original wiring

Yeah on the jamma harness sync is blue/white, but on the cable for the monitor it's grey and it's in the "H" section of the JST connector.
