Help monitor Nanao MS-2932-S

Post by supermagoalex »

Hello everyone,
I have an annoying interference problem with Nanao monitor of my Sega Naomi Universal Cab.
Immediately after switching on, white interferences appears, as you can see below.
If I disconnect and reconnect that cable on my hand, they sometimes disappear, but reappear after a few minutes.
When I disconnect the cable you can hear the sound of a switch in the background... what is it? (Degauss?)
What kind of problem is it? Is it solvable?
Thanks in advance for your help!

I have no idea what you are doing, why are you shorting a cable?

What does it look like when a video signal is applied?

It's the degauss switch.

When I turn on the pc inside of my Naomi cab, you see the game... but the interference remains in the background... maybe it's a mass problem?

Hi,
I found out that my monitor is a Nanao 2934-S.
I solved disconnecting CN901 cable on the board (DG IN), the interference has disappeared.
Could the monitor be damaged with this cable disconnected? :(

DG is degauss, it won't cause any issues being disconnected
