playing reverie sweet as or whatever its called. Not entirely sure what to make of it so far have only played it for 20-30 ish mins to be fair . Needed a break from my marathon tetris99 playing failings :awe:

It’s easy. Just set up a MyNintendo account with Japan as the country and buy a voucher off Play Asia.

You could call it better than arcade perfect. 60fps, no pop up, more vibrant colours.

If you've got an online subscription, you can download the Famicom games as well. Only one or two games are exclusive but it's worth it for Joy Mech Fight alone. Search the Japanese e-shop for "Nintendo Switch Online" and open the app with your UK account.

Seems Gameboy Colour backlights have moved on.

McWill, Freckleshack and Midwest mods use an LCD with a matching square(ish) ratio. 1:2 scaling, but none of the ghosting of the 101. The Midwest one is “transflective”, it has a reflective layer and can be used in bright light when the backlight is turned off.

The fit is not quite perfect but a big improvement over the 101 hack.

The freckleshack is also transflective, apparently theyre the same LCDs. (Theres also an NGPC one in the works)
