One cropped picture of the title screen. You would think that would ward off buyers, but nope.

Not YAJ, but someone bought a Deathsmiles Mega Black Label kit for 629,000 yen at Surugaya today. I think that's a new record price for the kit. It didn't even have the right box.

Re: Items you can't afford on Yahoo Japan Auctions
A mint Ketsui kit also sold for 500,000 yen recently. Might be a record, but certainly not the norm. You'd probably stuggle to get half of that in the West.
Pretty sure most of these people get buyer's remorse when they see the same game selling for a lot less a few weeks/months later

Where did you see that Ketsui kit? There was a NOS one on YAJ this month, relisted a few times for 500,000 yen, but it did not sell:

Are you talking about this one, or a different one?

It doesn't show in YAJ's sold auctions. This seller is known to cancel bids, even after the end of an auction, however.

Re: Items you can't afford on Yahoo Japan Auctions
I put a pretty high bid on a rolled Progear poster a few months ago and the seller canceled the transaction...
Yahoo is such a crapshoot. Some of these sellers are ridiculous. porcupine is a good example.
