Yep, that is how I used to play. Unfortunately there are no more arcades around my place.Spectrexcwk wrote: ↑October 20th, 2018, 8:19 pm On one hand, it’s the best way to play sf. In person, in a noisy environment, with onlookers cheering on good/bad play.

SF5 is a TypeX4 conversion kit for Magician’s Dead.
It’s 300,000 yen for just the HDD upgrade on 1 unit but you need 2 units for 2 players so it’s effectively 600,000 minimum.
Taito is also taking 35% rev share and it will not be integrated into Nesica 2. Capcom has nothing to do with the port besides licensing out. Taito is handling the port by farming it out.
Preorders have been abysmal so it’s only expected in Taito Stations.
The Bring your own controller function doesn’t make sense since the cabs won’t be sold outside of Japan where the majority of these pad players are.

I have figured that the "bring your own controller" USB 3.0 port feels like a selling gimmick back when I made a joke about input lag between arcade controls or usb controls attached to the cabinet. However, who knows how many arcade games will end up supporting this optional USB 3.0 / bluetooth controller addon in the future.Shou wrote: ↑November 11th, 2018, 1:38 am SF5 is a TypeX4 conversion kit for Magician’s Dead.

Bring your own controller idea is such BS.
Just play on the arcade controls ,makes it more fair as no one has any advantage then.

Re: SFV: Arcade Edition Coming to Japan Arcades in 2019
I would imagine that's home versions only but you never know....Capcom are to introduce advertisements during loading screens, and on costumes and stages, in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. The adverts will be for Street Fighter costumes, DLC, and to promote the Pro Tour.
You can turn off the ads but if you do you won’t earn as much Fight Money, so it will take longer to unlock new content. As mentioned the adverts are just for Street Fighter content at the moment, but there’s no reason why Doritos and Mountain Dew could start popping up in the background at a later date. Capcom do refer to it as “sponsored content” which does suggest they will be selling the advertising space.

No reason to optimise load times, nice.

Tekken 7 has slapped SFV around the face with it's massive sales.
Especially as it was in the arcades for a couple of years for being released on console.
Who would have thought that could possibly work
