is the Sanwa KW0606A chassis Tri-Sync?

Post by g60hot »

Hi all this is probably a really stupid question however i'm just wondering if the above chassis is tri-sync if used with the Toshiba pure flat A68LTF356x tube.

Cheers all

That's also known as the Sanwa PFX and the tube should be a pure flat one. It's trisync and came in some NNC and European imported late Naomi cabs (Virtua Tennis?).

Can you confirm the tube is indeed Toshiba A68LTF356X because that seems a good quality one compared to the others they pair it with..

The Toshiba pure flat A68LTF356X tube is usually found in the Toshiba PF monitors D29C051 / D29C451. The Sanwa PFX (KW0606A / PM1755) usually use Matsushita A68MAU085X90 or Chungwa A68AKY13X501 tubes. I didn't think the chassis were interchangeable between the Sanwa PFX and Tosh PF? Is the KW0606A actually working alright on the Toshiba A68LTF356X.

Hi Asure, I have this same tube and chassis combination in two recent NNC pick-ups througha group buy. Excellent 31khz image. 15khz is equally excellent, albeit from console connection via SCART and a Sync Strike through the VGA connection. I have yet to hook up a loom for JAMMA 15khz, but from what I am told from others that picked up the NNC's in the same group buy, it is excellent as well. 300wins demo'ed the Sanwa PFX for me next to a Toshiba PF and it is just as good. The OSD in 15khz is wonky however.

Still want pics?

So turns out I have the same tube/chassis combo. Irks well together and picture is very good. Slight convergence in far corners

If the socket type's the same and heater voltage is the same just swap the yokes.

Toshiba PF and Sanwa PFX yokes are both 0.300 mH. You don't have to swap yokes.
