Those Surugaya prices... Christ, 680K yen for DSMBL? 298K for Pink Sweets? Are prices really that nuts now for CAVE?

I mean, I realize there is a retail markup, but still...

Prices aren't that nuts for CAVE. You'd have to be insane to pay what they are asking for many of those games. You can find them much cheaper at other retailers (even Tops!), YAJ, forums, etc.

Certain CAVE games do regularly sell for crazy high amounts (DFK BL and SDOJ being the prime examples), but most are not like that.

PS: Surugaya's DSMBL has the wrong box. Ditto for their DFK BL kit.

Makes sense. I figured those prices were mad, good to have confirmation. No plans to buy any of that. :awe:

I love how everyone, including the Japanese, seem to think that YAJ is just a bunch of foreigners bidding against each other. :awe:

I've been tracking this for awhile, and for the Cave stuff at least, I'd estimate at least 80% of the time it is just foreigners bidding against each other. When it comes to old cardboard boxes it is at least 90% foreigners.

I'm guessing a collector died, or an arcade chain just went out of biz... :wtf:
Seems like it was a japanese arcade collector (alive and kicking) who sold some of his stuff. Here's a picture of the stash:

And link to the Twitter thread with more pics of the CAVE kits now available at Surugaya: https://twitter.com/bentouya/status/1035657706588106752

I wonder how much Surugaya paid him for that loot :wtf:

Nope, samurai07 just posts boards from Surugaya and other PCB shops and add some to the price.
Uses the same pics.

I bought a bunch of toresetsu but eventually stopped because they're a bit useless. Should've bought a stack of Ibaras I guess.
