Re: Super Nintardbros!
I actually downloaded it and had a couple of games myself recently. Same as you, it wasn't as bad as I imagined but had no idea about the building etc either. Started watching a instructional YT video but got bored after a few minutes. I just want to shoot me some tweenersgeotrig wrote:dl'd and played a few games of fortnite its alright not as bad i thought it would be, not that im able to kill anyone and dont get this building lark at all ! o\

And now he has one. The Pro Controller is extremely good.pubjoe wrote:For the money I’d rather buy an additional pair of joycons too. They work well with the grip. My son wants a Xenoblade 2 Pro controller...

Re: Super Nintardbros!
I stand by this. I prefer the shoulder + trigger buttons on the Pro Controller but the rest just feels wrong - like the OG Xbox controller did.cools wrote:Finally got a chance to use a Switch Pro Controller, and I'm thoroughly unimpressed compared to JoyCon + grip. Felt too large generally, and the thumb sticks have far too wide a deadzone.

I’ve only twiddled it so I can’t comment on deadzone until I’ve used it to play a game. But very comfortable all round here.

Re: Super Nintardbros!
That was it - I thought "ooh nice" until I tried to play DOOM and couldn't make any small adjustments to the aim without moving the stick 20 miles.

You find the Joycon okay for that? Tbh I’ve found every analogue stick since has failed to live up to the N64’s. Tiny deadzone, wide gradual movement. I could actually aim with that. Nothing else has really felt like analogue.

Re: Super Nintardbros!
Yeah. They're not perfect but they're a massive sight better than the Pro Con IMO.
Found them not so great for small scale adjustments with BOTW bows though.
Everyone recommending motion control for it can naff off, that method is unusable in handheld so worthless learning.
N64 I remember being a bit grindy.
Shame you can't adjust the centre/deviation sensitivity on any console analogue. Deadzone on most of them is a bugbear of mine.

Re: Super Nintardbros!
At one point every year I tell someone the N64 pad is underrated.
Dunno if it’s the deadzone or physical tightness and springiness of all the other analogue sticks. Certain N64 games port poorly - like the Zelda slingshot/bow challenges in OOT, or anything without auto aim.
It wasn’t perfect and isn’t as durable as the chunky analogue sticks of today. They end up developing a wobble. They’re still the best though.

Depends what you class as cheap.... if you want originals.LEGENOARYNINLIA wrote:So where do you folks get cheap 3DS games from? I just ordered a 2DS XL.
We have a franchise called CEX or webuy here in the UK. They sell secondhand goods. Tons of cheap DS and 3Ds games. You fins have a place like that? Otherwise eBay where you can visually inspect your buy as I generally don't trust Amazon market place because you can't.
