cps2 B board chara & sound bug

Post by kobayuz777 »

Hello, I have a question.
I bought B board junk of cps 2 the other day.
Since Vampire Saber 's EEPROM was left, I put it on the board and started it.

However, as you can see, the overall sound sounds funny.
Even if you play the sound in the test mode, a different sound plays.
Also, the graphics of the 2P character is becoming crazy.

If you install it on a normal B board, you can play the game normally.

So I think that the cause is chip related, but I do not understand it.
Which side do you think is the cause? :wtf:

Are the jumpers correct? Which type PAL3 is installed?

Thank you for your response.
PAL uses Vampire Saber's one.
The B board is Street Fighter Zero.
Both versions of the board are 93646 B - 7.

* We attached Saber's EPROM to the board of the street fighter zero.
I have not edited the jumper.
It has become this feeling.

I attached Saber's ROM to the b-board of Street Fighter Zero

Do I get a bug in the screen if I do not edit jumpers?

If the jumpers are incorrect the sound and gfx will be garbled.

I see
I confirmed the B board.
Even though Street Fighter Zero, all the jumpers were open.
PAL is "BGSB3G"

Should I solder it and short-circuit it?

When opening a short-circuited jumper
Should I pick up the solder?
Can I take all with a solder suction machine? :)

That would be the best way, yes.

Pick up the solder AND cut the trace. You can use a utility knife. Test with a multimeter to make sure it is cut.

Thank you for advising me!
When editing the jumper it worked perfectly nice. :P

It is a separate case,
Previously on 93646B-4 Super Street Fighter 2X
I tried transplanting to 93646B-7.

At that time, the screen did not cause a bug, but some sounds
It may be that the jumper setting was bad even though it was not played back

If jumper setting and PAL are correct,
You can transplant any games, are not you?

Thank you very much! :P

Yeah, with the correct jumper settings, PAL3 and correct ROMs all of the games should work. :awe:
