I'd actually buy that. The original arcade mode with no crashing plus a new Exa mode would be great.

That would be great! Shouldn't be difficult since they are both pc based.

It sounds like a stupidly obvious choice, but probably won't happen :(

I think it will be a massive plus for them if they have the scaler ready on release. Looking at the cab owners thread, most seem to have 15k cabs.

Luckily I have a tri sync egret 2. If 480p is the absolute minimum, I'll have to use that.

That would tempt me tbh. Deathsmiles 2 is one of my absolute favourite shooters.

Mine's borked again and I can't be bothered to look at it. The port doesn't do it justice, it's a great game.

I'd love to know arcade ops experiences with that hardware. Maybe I've just been incredibly unlucky.

We currently plan to support 15/31kHz at launch.

Aka & Blue Type-R will have full support for both 9:16 and 3:4 - it’s not just letterboxed on 3:4.

DS2 is the most unsuccessful game in Cave history. Most of those original PCBs broke which was one factor into its failure.

I figured as much. We were lucky to see two more releases after that to be honest. At the time I thought it would be the end of them.

Whenever I went to play it at an arcade in 2009 there was always at least one person playing. Seemed popular with Cave fans, but unfortunately the hardware was poorly designed and unreliable and when I came back to Japan in 2011 I couldn't find the game anywhere (maybe all the machines broke). With the X360 port (which sold quite well), it must have been profitable for them in the end. It is a fine game that deserves a better port (perhaps on Steam).

It's a pretty accurate port for three characters (Windia, Casper and Supe). But for the fourth character (Lei) it's rather poor as about half of the slowdown was removed when using this character, making it impossible to score as well. The arcade WR with Lei is 2 billion, but on the X360 port the highest score is about half that, last time I checked.
