KOF'97 Global Match

Post by LEGENOARYNINLIA »

KOF'97 Global Match has gone GDLO! :whoopsie:

Alright, anyone else get this? I bought it on Steam because the system reguirements* are really low and my DLO LAPTDP can handle it.

Now, if anyone else has it for PS4 or Vita, how is it? Is it up to the standards of other SNK releases?

Currently the PC version is nothing special and the netplay is pretty atrocious and barebones. Because of the Global Match moniker I wasn't expecting any extra game content like in the UM games, but what I was expecting is solid netplay for a classic game. I'll update this if that changes.

List of issues in the PC port
-framerate drops in fullscreen or when the window is enlarged (the window also refuses to go back to normal after that)
-there is no way to see where the opponent is located in netplay
-there's no rollback in the netcode

List of awesome added features
-you can pick which (1) BGM repeats over and over and over again in the menus (OST version, there is no AST)
-the default scanlines option actually looks pretty good
-the input for special moves etc feels more lenient (I wanted to mention that, but not sure if that's awesome or not)

So..

LEGENOARYNINLIA's DFFICIAL MAOMAN GRAOE: 1/1D until they fix the netcode and framerate. (PC version)
