CPS3 video out question
Hello!
I have a brief question regarding what I'm hoping to achieve in the coming weeks.
Basically I bought a CPS3 board and will be wiring up the bare essentials so that I can place it beside my Trinitron and enjoy some Third Strike.
Now, I've got the power side of things sorted and am comfortable with wiring controls. My concern is with video, and the termination of it.
Is a resistor needed for the video sync?
Also should caps be used for the RGB lines, like 220uF maybe?
Thanks in advance!

Re: CPS3 video out question
Hi, you mean resistors not caps and 220 ohms would be about right, give it a try if it’s too dim drop the value to 100 ohms. you shouldn’t need a resistor on the sync but if it doesn’t sync I would use a 70 ohm resistor.

Care to share your additional hardware?geosnow wrote:works flawlessly.
I wouldn't have thought I would need an AV driver... Could be wrong though!

You don't need an AV driver.
geosnow has a HAS supergun (built by RGB).

Just buy the HAS with kick harness and an arcade power supply. Works like a charm.

Think I may just go that route now. Took delivery of a Suzo Happ 80-0064-00 today, should pair nicely.geosnow wrote:Just buy the HAS with kick harness and an arcade power supply. Works like a charm.
