Super Neo 29 Type II
Hello,
I have around 11 Super Neo 29 Type II all brand new never been used before,
I tried few of them with jamma/mvs game but all i get is white screen nothing on it,
The wiring inside the cabinet is seems to Hyper neo geo games,
anyone know how to change Hyper neo geo wiring to mvs/jamma wiring ?

I'm pretty sure the video lines are the same.
Are the boards powering up? Have you checked voltage at the jamma connector?

Re: Super Neo 29 Type II
maybe a connector to change on the power supply
the connector you have on hand (the big one) the one with the black and red cables
power the hyper neo 64 running
without going through the jamma
the small it must be the sound (stereo)
look at the jamma connector of your terminal follows the wiring of the 5v
it will lead you to the connector to plug on the power supply instead of the one you hold in your hand

Re: Super Neo 29 Type II
I used to have one of these cabs with the LCD screen, very simple JAMMA wiring from what I recall, great cab..
How on earth did you end up with all those brand new cabs, great cabs still miss mine.

Re: Super Neo 29 Type II
I think i have to wire from the psu to the jamma connector right ?
I have around 130 Japanese arcades as we used to import them since 1988 to 2001 for our company and they are still in our warehouse
this is from our last order from Japan and we never used them they came from port to warehouse and was there for around 20yrs

Re: Super Neo 29 Type II
did you test one of the machines with a hyper neo 64 game?
we see a transformer in the machine
she was modified by you?
you use the 220 V at kuwait?

the transformer in the machines came from Japan as we ordered them to be working in 220v in Kuwait

Re: Super Neo 29 Type II
apparently the jamma is already connected to the power supply
nothing seems to prevent the 5V from arriving on the jamma
tomorrow I would look at the doc
and I would test on a super neo 29 type II that I have in stock

Re: Super Neo 29 Type II
ok
I find this doc
https://hard--candy.com/uploads/SuperNe ... Manual.pdf
the 5V is only on the special connector for the hyper 64 motherboard
on the jamma connector it is note remote control instead of 5V
if you want to use his cabin for traditional jamma you will have to change the wiring
the simplest I think it's in the power switch place the 5V
from 4P female connector to 8P female connector
otherwise you can make an interface
with connectors and cable
on the other hand after does not reconnect hyper 64 motherboard on the cabins you transform

Re: Super Neo 29 Type II
Yes, the extra 5V is for HN64 only.
Did you already try a standard jamma board with the cabinets? 5V measures ok with a multimeter?
