Re: height of aero panel
You want to know the height of the panel (metal plate) with its joysticks mounted or just the thickness of the metal sheet?,or the height of the control panel surround.... or the control panel base? sorry but I don't understand what are you asking exactly.

Re: height of aero panel
Ok then:
I measured heights on the front most part of the panel (the one facing the player), and the back part that goes against the monitor lid which is the part with the highest clearance due to the slanted shape of the CP surround.
Hope this helps, I'm too lazy to unscrew the joystick cp and measure the clearance from the inside .

Measure from the ground (where you're standing on) to the bottom of the control panel

That? I know , I'm a bit dumb....BUT, these cabinets have adjustable metal feets, so what's the point in measuring the distance from underside of the control panel to the ground ?
anyways, currently is 55cm, but next week it could be 60cm if my friend Alex comes to my place since I always have to adjust the Shmupmame cab for him since he is 1,99m tall

Re: height of aero panel
The metal feet on an Aero have 50mm of travel
I know what you're saying though. I'm over 2m. These cabs weren't made for me.

From bottom of cabinet base, to the part where the control panel joins the monitor frame -> 63 cms

By putting it on top of a pedestal Cabs do have leg levelers. However, they're really only made to level the cab, not to raise them. They probably have 10mm travel, if that.possible to adjust? how

Re: height of aero panel
Among all of the candy cabs from all known manufacturers the Aero city is one of the cabs with less clearance under the CP, less suitable cab for tall people thats for sure, if you need to place your legs under the Control panel go for a Jaleco Pony, avoid Sega, go for any old metal candy cab from Jaleco (Pony II) , Konami (Domy), Capcom (Status) Taito (Canary) instead.

Re: height of aero panel
Aero has less clearance than an astro. I found them too low and I'm only 5ft 9.
Pony ii 28 was too high for me.
Astro & NNC is perfect.

Re: height of aero panel
yeah astro was good, lower than egret2 tought, but more confortable around the panel heights for hands.
Anyway, I'm looking for a New Astro
