Again, the game is made on GameMaker. Not sure what you guys are expecting. Who's going to engineer a X86 based motherboard when you can pick up a perfectly good one for 30 euros from the nearest computer store.

Not saying they need to do otherwise, just agreeing with Braintrash about the amazing custom hardware used for the CPS1 multi ;)

Why a x86 motherboard? Many people know how to program something else and use less complex (but not less powerful) hardware which is truer to a real arcade experience.

And, to directly answer your question: real arcade enthusiasts, not people there only to make a large sum of money while surfing on a trend.
Not saying it's what they are, just that it is what they more and more look like to me.

Can't tell you how disappointed I was to see the price of the kit being over £550.

NG DEV Team release MVS games for arround 450€. So Skycurser price is right for a three years game works with custom arcade plateform PCB.

Not agree with Trap15 review.
Game is really impressive. Gameplay is very good and that's a really impresive difference than all other indie games.
It's more a R-type memory game (with more speedy and rough action) than a CAVE danmaku style.
He's better than all NG dev team i played (no offense but true).
And developpers made update with evolution on scoring system, game design and gameplay (like combo for scoring, adjustment for weapons value, etc...).

Video of Superplayer A-M on September issue (without combo update)

Destined to remain anti-Grail forevermore, just the way I like them. The poster's nice at least.

This is just a cheap PC with some addons like the ones people use to put Mameboxes into cabs.
A MVS game is really custom hardware which you have to produce yourself with memory chips, all of this being way more expensive than a cheap PC.

I'm waiting to play the game myself to have an opinion about the playability, but the hardware side remains a joke.

Actually many old arcade operators are doing this in Switzerland. I think in Germany and France as well. And funnily people are buying these with a cheat pandoras box for 1999.
