It's great. Especially the games that support two motion controllers. Only downside is the crappy resolution but you don't notice when you are playing a game.

Honestly I have no longer any interest in playing any console games without VR.

I bought a used PS4 slim which arrived today. I basically needed it for Garegga2016 and REZinfinity, I've made a short list of games I'm currently considering. If anyone has a recommendation or has played any of these hipster/indie games I'm interested in hearing what you though of them.

For shooters I'm considering:

Astebreed
Darius Burst
Caladrius Blaze
Resogun
Jamestown

These were games that looked sorta interesting as I browsed the PS4website:

SHOVEL KNIGHT
AXIOM VERGE
THUMPER
INSIDE
BOUND
GRAVITY RUSH
ABZU
JOURNEY
HUE
HYPER LIGHT DRIFTER
THE TALOS PRINCIPLE
FURI
OXENFREE
UNRAVEL
THE WITNESS
TRINE
THE BRIDGE
VOLUME
HOTLINE MIAMI 2
WHITE NIGHT
VALIANT HEARTS
FLOWER

Are any of these not crap?

Thanks guys, I haven't played a mainstream title since PS2 days, stuff like Witcher3, Bloodborne, DarkSouls3, Uncharted just doesn't interest me. I will get Last Guardian next month though since I loved Ico and SotC. I'm a sucker for the artsy-fartsy stuff.

I think I'm mostly looking forward to

Thumper 8-)

Bound

and Abzu :ugeek:

Only game I've bothered completing for yonks. If it had somehow been released on the Nes it'd be my favourite Nes game.

Played about an hour of "Everybody's Gone To The Rapture" (free on PS+) Painful. Like wading through treacle listening to The Archers.

Thoroughly pleased with Bound. There isn't a whole lot to it gameplay wise, which is why it's so mesmerizing. The audio/visual experience is so breathtaking I'm fully engrossed the second I hit start. In a lot of ways that's what I like about Rez, one of my all time favorites. Your character dances and while that may not be for everyone, I have taught dance for nearly 20 years so I can appreciate the motion capture and animation :awe:

Equally happy with Resogun. I wasn't sure I'd enjoy this so much since it's not a straightforward shmup, but man was I wrong. One word: addicting. The graphics are superb, I've only played on easy mode with one of the ships but there was still a fair bit of challenge for me, especially when it comes to saving the humans  For $4.99 (PS+ sale price) I couldn't ask for a better bargain.

I also downloaded Everybody's gone to the Rapture for free, it looks dreadful indeed. :palm:

I almost bought Gravity Rush, Hotline Miami 2 (should probably start with HM1 first), Astebreed, and Jamestown+ but I'm going to hold off until I'm bored with what I have so far.

P.S. THUMPER IS TOO DAMN GOOD!!!
