Look like I will be getting a PS4 after all only to sell it once I'm done with Uncharted :awe:

Bonfires? 7XX series GPU?

Turn lighting setting to low - fixed it for me.

The only annoying thing is that you have to do this every time you load the game.

There's a new patch tomorrow btw.

We have a Playstation VR headset in the office and I am really impressed with it.
If the 4.5 means more horse power, I am all for it :)

Oh nice!! Good to know, knowing it's not coming from the mouth of some paid hype train.

So how is it and are you allowed to go into any other details?

I can go into some detail here.

The headset itself is really comfortable (even with glasses on). Lot's of adjustments to get it to fit is a nice touch. There is no noticeable lag, even when you turn around quickly.
You can sit pretty close to the camera with no apparent issues.
The res is good too. One of the the demos (The Deep) seems to be running at a slightly lower res than other demos and stuff we have put on it but perhaps this is due to it taking place in murky water?
Either way, the Deep is very immersive and has made me really excited to see some fully realised games.
There has been a lot mentioned in the press about motion sickness with V.R.
One of the team here is making a game with controller movement. So far, so good for me regarding any sickness but some of guys in the office do seem to find sudden movement a little unsettling. We also have Samsung's and it is the same. Most people are ok, but some feel a bit ill after a while. My personal take on it is that your brain would get used to it after continued playing. Bring on Trackmania Turbo VR support :)

I have not been lucky enough to have a play on Oculus past DK1 so I cannot judge on how they compare.
I think Sony have a winner on their hands. It doesn't feel like a new gimmick. With the right games, it could be a game changer (forgive the pun).

Finished Uncharted 4 today. A fitting end to the franchise. The environments are immense and incredibly detailed as you'd expect. Some really fancy physics too, such as the rock slides in Scotland. The game also has the most dynamic and impressive surround sound I've heard. Nothing's really changed in the gameplay department, it's still basically an interactive Indiana Jones movie. The star of the show for me is the 4x4 though, much fun.

Besides getting the PS4P for PSVR (of which I've abandoned the idea of in favour of buying an NX which isn't far down the road) I was going to buy the Pro as my entry into 4K Blu-ray.... Lo and behold, as a shareholder in 4K Blu-ray tech.... Sony don't include the feature in the Pro.... their "4K" machine.... And now the cat is coming out of the bag that it isn't even native 4K rather it's upscaling close to 4K..... Oh deary me.....

Never thought I'd say this.... gonna have to buy an XboneS.

Got one and I think it's brilliant. I was concerned about the games being more like "tech demos" which a lot of them are but it kinda works well with VR. It's hard to explain but at first it takes a toll on your body. After 30 mins you want to take a break. I don't think it will replace games as we know it. But rather something else to go with the system that's there for who want it. You also can't compare what the games look like in videos as it looks so different inside. Some of the most boring games look and play incredible when the goggles are on.The only thing is the picture inside can be quite blurry or grainy at times with some games looking better than others which I wasn't expecting until reading reviews near launch. There's nothing quite like putting it on for the first time ;)
