Fix it Vewlix - My Guide to Fix your Vewlix Screen Problem Pictures
so, i guess everyone who picked up a used Vewlix know this Problem: the Screen has some darker spots or darker stripes when the Picture is White, sometimes only in the Corners.
well i picked up a vewlix with a Screen that looked like it was touched with dirty fingers, while refurbishing i removed the Screen and the protective glass , only to notice that the sports remained
so i started to go deeper, as you can see in the following Pictures wich might help you fix your vewlix Monitor Problem.
please do this on your own risk, you can very easy mess up the Matrix or even worse hurt yourself.
no fluits beyond the protective glass !
--------------------------------------------
Screen unit
open the sides first
now upper and lower covers
remove the glass and clean it, the inner side might be the first place to look for dirt and dust, now remove the inner cover
open Frame, this is next to remove
this is the lcd maxtrix, Microfibre Cloth for cleaning
lift it very careful, maybe you should ask someone to hold it for you ?
time for a good clean, again Microfibre Cloth is a good choice, but carefull
what this did for me:
-all stains are gone
-uniform brightness
-uniform sharpness
- two spots that i suspected to be dead Pixel were dust corns behind the lcd Matrix on the lightning matt.
Screen Looks like new.
final Suggestion, when you reassemble the Screen you will have to make sure that very Little or no dust gets between the Matrix and the protective glass, wich can be very anoying, Keep that in mind when you choose the room to do this.

Also just a heads up, be careful of the ribbon cables attached to the screen, they can tear very easy, causing lines to appear on the screen, which will basically scrap the screen. Same applies to any LCD screen.

First thank you for a very informative guide. I was wondering, have you come across any Vewlix monitors whose glass is under the *inner* frame? My monitor has yellow blotches and I was referred to your guide, but upon removing the outer 4 frame pieces, there's no glass where there is in your picture!
It *feels* like there's glass over my LCD, but I cannot get the inner frame off to see if there's glass underneath it (stripped screws). I'm just searching for some insight before resorting to drilling out those tiny screws.

Re: My Guide to Fix your Vewlix Screen Problem Pictures
can you please post some Pictures ? maybe also the exact Name/ID of the Screen ( Label on the back) ?
i have a C here , wich has a Screen very similar to the one in the F, so if yours is the original Screen i can make a new guide for you..

Great guide -- this appears to be the problem with recently acquired Vewlix L screen. Going to take it apart tonight and wipe it clean with a microfiber cloth. Fingers crossed!!!

Re: My Guide to Fix your Vewlix Screen Problem Pictures
Tried this last night, but could not get the LCD out of the frame. I suspect that before you go in from the front, you first must remove the back hump that contains the IO board, and then rear housing that contains the display and power boards? I basically started by laying it flat on its back, removing the bezels, removing the black frame, removing the glass to expose the inner LCD frame. removed the 3 LCD frame screws and the LCD still would not budge. so it must be held in by screws from behind.

Re: My Guide to Fix your Vewlix Screen Problem Pictures
did some cleaning on my Vewlix F Screen today wich had some nasty White Areas that looked like dried up condensation.
again, removed the outer Frame, then the innter fram, lifted the glass and gave the inside of the glass a good cleaning. the Panel itself Looks like new, so no Need to do anything to it.
alot of dirt and grease removed, contrast and sharpness improved, spots are gone.
