I don't know anything about dehumidifiers, but that is an awesome starting lineup.

Windows should do the job fine. With a security latch. Personally, I would install a heatpump/air-conditioner for the game room. Increases the comfort level immensely.

well, my main concern is the condensation in the Garage, as it tends to get quite cold in the winter.

Wenko is offering these here.

An air-dry unit should be there, because at weather changing sweats the Garage.
With the set up, could a pellet stove with a simple steel chimney should be a nice upgreat
- built simple, practical and does not cost so much !

the problem is that the garage is not connected to the house, so i would prefer a passive solution, don`t like the idea to have any equipment running that i can not have an eye on. I do not plan to play or turn on the cabs in the really cold winter months, for that i still have 4 cabs in the apartment. i just need to prevent any condensation from weather change.

Oh - ok i see !
I think the simle Aggregate who is shown will not do reliable Job.
An automatic air dryer is needed, who controlls the humidity ( up to 50-70 % are ok ).
Yes, unfortunately the needs voltage :(
But good efficient appliances content with about 200W , when operate .....

I don't think you can really have cabs in a standalone garage without any heating though, certainly not only a passive solution. It's killing for your hardware
humidity is the Problem, i don`t see why heating should be nessesary if the cabs stay off in the winter. maybe i should mention that the Garage is getting a three layer Isolation.

Some dehumidifiers have a output pipe so you just set and forget as you won't need to worry about emptying the collected moisture. My gameroom was also thoroughly insulated but the machine still manage to suck up moisture. I think the chemical option is only tested in a wardrobe or other enclosed areas and not really designed to do a whole room/garage. Is putting a window an option at all?

Cameras?

Think you're stuck looking for something that doesn't exist. A reliable passive humidity solution would make all of the other options obsolete overnight.

Get it done properly and install an environment monitoring system along with the HVAC.

Put a security latch on them and leave it open slightly. Best possible passive option.

True. My General school of though about humidity/condensation is that the major factor contributing to it is a difference in temperature between the inside of the house against the outside. Hence by bringing the temperature closer together, i.e having a open window, the room/dwelling will have less condensation/humidity difference. It is like driving inside a car in the winter, the windscreen does not fog up as much if you start driving with the windows down.
