Knew something was up with the pricing when Luckey was vague about the pricing but saying it would be higher than expected, Yeah no **** sherlock :problem: Can't see it being a "hit" at that price, they should have dropped the 2 games and pad if that helps bring it in at a respectable price point. The steam one or sony's one will kick the **** out of the Oculus if they come in at a decent price.

Yep, I think we can blame Facebook for the unrealistic pricing.

From what leaky info is around... Sony are trying to target a $300 price point. (so that's £300 for us.. ). No news of Steam VR or HTC Vive's price at this point. But £150-200 less would end Oculus Rips.

I prefer my FPV goggles with my race quadcopter:

One day I hope I could get this good:

Shame really as I thought Oculus Rift DK2 could be the next thing in gaming that could save it for me as done everything else :problem:

There's a link on the oculus rift page that will test your pc to tell you if you meet min requirements. Know what I failed on? USB.

So, i'd also need USB 3.0 to run this… (in addition to the beefy specs/gfx cards, which is understandable). But these costs will be more than *just* the initial outlay.

Official Min Requirements:

Graphics card: NVIDIA GTX 970 / AMD R9 290 equivalent or greater
Processor: Intel i5-4590 equivalent or greater
Memory: 8GB+ RAM
Output: Compatible HDMI 1.3 video output
Input: 3x USB 3.0 ports plus 1x USB 2.0 port
Operating system: Windows 7 SP1 64 bit or newer

Yeah mine also failed on USB3 even though it has USB3 onboard, Seems not the correct USB3 :wtf: Bet it would still work, maybe when the prices come down..... if I haven't bought one of the other VR headsets that is :awe:
