ORIGINAL POST:
A new Japanese style game center has opened in Helsinki!
There’s only an entrance fee to get in and the games are all set on freeplay. Until the end of the year the entrance fee is 5 Euros. The arcade doesn’t have the bustling crowds and chaotic noise yet, but it does have over 15 candy cabs, 5 Lindbergh cabs, some Riverservice HD cabs, Beatmania IIDX 17: Sirius and Pop’n Music The Movie, 2 linked F-Zero AX cabs and more! You can even rest your sore buttocks on authentic Taito VERY NICE stools while you play.
Here’s their website where you can check out their list of currently installed games and how to get there: http://www.sugoi.fi
So, a good selection of shmups and action games, a combination of popular and not-so-common fighting games, awesome racing games and games everyone will love like Hyper Bishi Bashi and Super Monkey Ball etc.
Time for a proper Finnish AO meetup perhaps?

I don't think so. I don't use FB, but I'm sure it will be linked on the site if they have one.Olisan wrote:Great project!

Re: Sugoi (Game Center in Helsinki)
Theredknight, what's the best way to get there from Olympiaterminaali? Is there a Ratikka-line there from the city center?

Re: Sugoi (Game Center in Helsinki)
Unfortunately there's no ratikka-line going all the way there. The easiest route from Olympiaterminaali is to take ratikka 3 to the train station and then take a train from there to Malmi. I can give more detailed directions by PM if you wish, or I can just show you the way in person.KmanSweden wrote:Theredknight, what's the best way to get there from Olympiaterminaali? Re: Sugoi (Game Center in Helsinki)
That would be awesome. But sadly on a 40h cruise the playtime will only be 2 hours before we'd need to head back to the ferry due to the opening hours.TheRedKnight wrote:Unfortunately there's no ratikka-line going all the way there. The owner is fairly reasonable, so I'm sure he would agree to open up early for you guysKmanSweden wrote:That would be awesome. But sadly on a 40h cruise the playtime will only be 2 hours before we'd need to head back to the ferry due to the opening hours.
