Yes. You must have the newest firmware for autoreset to work properly. Depending on when you received your kit you may already have it installed.

Finally received mine and set it up. Any idea what's going on here? When i try to launch super puzzle fighter I get a bunch of jailbars and "OBJECT RAM NG" Seen here: http://i.imgur.com/9b7CztQ.jpg and here: http://i.imgur.com/B5a52jw.jpg

MVC shows this: http://i.imgur.com/H59DCrT.jpg

Most other games just show a red or white screen.

I tried shorting the EXT5 Cap as recommended but it didn't really help. After doing that and booting I'll see this: http://i.imgur.com/liifbTq.jpg

Then during flashing it will change to this: http://i.imgur.com/liifbTq.jpg

I've tried reseating everything a million times, cleaning the connections with alcohol, no bent pins, the board is as secure against the A board as it could be and the little connector board between the two darksoft boards is definitely in the proper orientation. Is it possible that it could just be the B board, or maybe something else that I'm not thinking of?

OBJECT RAM NG means that the RAM memory which store the sprites display list has failed the test.

The object RAM is the two 8KB SMD RAMs are near the chip marked "CIF" (DL-1827) on the B-Board soldermask. The DL-1827 chip is the object generator control interface.
(I suspect CIF actually means Character InterFace)

Just a quick heads-up for UK CPS2 owners with noisy fans.

Maplins do a drop in replacement for a fiver;

I just have my boards run their fans at 5V instead of 12V. Noise is low and acceptable.

Hello,

I post for give you my experience on the cps2 multi.

1-my B-Board work with the pal G but for the noise my friend the cable (like he do for phoenix)

2- another friend of me" Lap", try with 3 B-Board...

the fist B-Board is come from south of amerca (orange colour) and the revision was 6, we try with pal G and F and we try to connect on the pin 7 or 9.
The result was not good, the sound was very bad.

the second B-Board is come from Japan and the revision was 6, we try with pal G and F and we try to connect on the pin 7 or 9.
The result was not good, the sound was very bad and video too.

the third B-Board is another come from of south of america, and the revision was 4, we try only the pal G.
Image

the B-Board have already a cable link, don't known if it's come from capcom.

the result was very good, everything work fine, the sound is good (test with stereo blast city).

His sd cart:

3-the problem is the third B-Board who working don't have the connector CN9, for put the autoreset like say MitsurugiW
Image

My friend found another solution who is working...he found the connector missing on the top of the B-Board behind the B-Board.
The auto reset work fine woth this solution, after writing the flash, the autoreset lauch the new games.

First like say MitsurugiW, connect your cable on the SWD5C102

second time put your cable on the connector CN7 (behind the B-Board).

No the auto reset working fine, i just don't understand why we need to update the firmware? it's working !!

Weird Scenario...

Had my board working perfectly, then a friend was playing Street Fighter Zero 2, and there was a huge Graphic Glitch. He tried loading Vampire Savior, and now I am getting Constant "Ram Error" when I try to load or play a game. I've read through everything, tried reseating everything to ensure good contact, and used a completely different A Board, always getting the "Ram Error" issues still.

Anything I should Try Next? Could it be my SD card Is corrupt?

With revisión 6 or newer you don't wire anything to the pal chip if it is a G-PAL, that causes sound problems.

I'd say try with another A Board and if still does the same, then try another card. 16gb card in my experience can be problematic.

I had one kit with RAM ERROR And the problem was the program rom PCB from the kit a cold solder, but the rest of people with such an error was always a microSD issue.

Thanks for the Info.

I Tried a different known working A Board, still same issue.

I'll try another Micro SD card and report back. If a no go, I'll check for Cold Solders. Thanks again for the help.

Obviously. That is because you ended up using a Rev. 4 board.
