Untapped market for sure. Protect cart labels and cases and still have them playable.

Hi there Stomp! Yes it does.

Cools. A tad overprotective, wouldn't you agree? I understand and appreciate your intention, but isn't it just easier to vacuum the room once a month? I mean mummifying your carts like that will only make you more paranoid. You never know *when it may get too hot*, summers can be rather tricky. And there are vents in the plastics of the cart. I know, I've looked, they are there for a reason.

Dusting won't help with skin oils or UV damage...

MVS carts have vents, sure. No idea why, but I'm thinking more of console carts than MVS. Vents could be open though, I'm thinking more of wear on labels and shells.

UV protective film wraps for game carts. They'd sell. Surprised they don't exist already. People pay money to have their games graded and sealed in plastic boxes and I can't fathom out why.

I'd buy MVS ones...

games are meant to be played and not to be looked at in a glass cabinet!

just get yourself a 4 or 6 slot MVS and put your games in there.. all the other ones you can sell to people who are wanting to play them.. and when you feel that you aren't playing one of the games that often and want another game, then sell or trade it..

Usually, a brief sniffing is enough. You just can't beat that old electrolyte with flux odor combined with dust and a certain amount of mold. Unless ofcourse you clean your boards, which isn't always recommended. It is the mold that adds that very special character. It tells you a great deal about where the game has been, where it's from, and its age. I find the Ataris from 80's and 90's particularly delicious, the whole cabinet is filled with vintage fragrance, even the wiring smells wonderful.

So if you ever get an old Atari cab, don't clean it, just leave it. You may clean the controlpanel, sticks and buttons, and maybe the monitor. And when the mood hits you, just open that cabinet, stick you head in and breathe long and deeply.

A clip where the slim-cases are cut. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Mtur6i9 ... e=youtu.be

Here master Jod is instructing me how to assemble the slim-cases. I assembled my own, it was a very recreational experience.
