egret 29 restore
Hello world,
My other topic have been moved in market place.
I start a new one over the whole restore of my cab here.
Many advices needed.
How do I remove the yellow of the plastic? I ve to sand and paint it?
What is the best product? Spray or paint ?
A part of the plastic is broken, how do I fix it.
There is rust on the metal. How do I clean it?
There is a bump at the bottom, how do I fix it?
How do I fix the scratches on the metal?
Don't you think it could be a good idea to repaint the plastic parts in another color? Any example or suggestions?
What are those 3 buttons at the bottom?
How can I replace the missing doors? Wood plexi sub woofer?
Thanks for your time
Here is a pic of my woody almost done.

Hello, I he heard that the metal part was painted with a special paint and I will have to sand it totally before paint it. Is there any example of the job on this forum? If I just want to add a bit of paint on the scratches what s the best way? Thanx

Hi,
New panel ready in the same color than the capcom mini cute that i really like.
I ve got a TV and want to run hyperspin as fronte end.
What s the best way to connect my tv to computer with a good picture quality amd without a supergun (or a cheap super gun)?
Where can i find the brackets or chassis to attach the TV in the cab?
Thank you for the support

Re: egret 29 restore
Nice going on an awesome cabinet!
Can you give an update on the steps that you still need to take? I might have some pointers if needed.
If you ever decide to sell or trade the E29, let me know

Re: egret 29 restore
Hi everyone,
Step by step i keep going on the restore.
Jason is gonna make a CP.
I need a scan of the little plate above the joystick with the coin entry and P1 P2 button.
If anyone can help.
About the TV,the chassis is Huge, i ve found an old Nanao chassis in my cab. Will it work on my tv Or how can i fix this huge TV chassis into the cab?
I think the is a composite entry on the TV chassis can i plug in HDMI into my computer?
What is the best way to have a crisp picture?
Thank you

Looking great so far. I think S Video gives you the best picture. At least it did for me.

Re: egret 29 restore
The 'best way' to use/connect the TV
- Get a scart cable, and hack it up. Pull out the R/G/B, GND and CSYNC lines.
- Use something like a JPAC and ArcadeVGA to get authentic arcade resolutions from your PC output into the arcadeVGA card.
- Wire up the RGB/GND/CSYNC to the female jamma connector/original rgb/c/s cables from the Egret.
You may need some +5V construction to force the scart connection is used on power up.
TV Chassis are quite big, i have no idea how to mount the chassis in this cabinet.. Usually, to deal with the rotate mechanism, on Egret the chassis sits 'below' the tube on a small holder.

Trinitron "pure flat" tubes are bigger than regular tubes, get a regular TV instead.

Hi, can you explain how it is too big? It is difficult to see as the picture is very dark.
