Something from Capcom, something from SNK or something else?

:shifty:

Street Fighter 2 for me, hands down. All SF2 variants are awesome though, even with T.Hawk in it.

FOTNS (Atomiswave)
Garou Mark of the Wolves (MVS)
Guilty Gear XX (Naomi)
KOF 98 (MVS)
Martial Masters (PGM)
Marvel vs Capcom 2 (Naomi)
Melty Blood Actress Again (Naomi)
Ninja Masters (MVS)
Sam Sho 2 (MVS)

Street Fighter Alpha/Zero 3 (CPS2)
The Last Blade 2 (MVS)
Waku Waku 7 (MVS)

Street Fighter 2 has always been my fave since it arrived in Capitol-Taxi in 91' it blew my mind when I first played it. I pretty much only play Super SF2 Turbo/X as far as competitive fighters go these days. I honest think it's better now than it was in 94'. Even after playing it for over 20years I am still learning new ways to play and to improve my game in versus.

And Pubjoe is right, a Mame PC setup is perfect for GGPO, it's like you're playing in a proper arcade again...sorta :)

Pubjoe: Get GGPO setup again I'll give you a few games.

I must admit, there is room for some lesser fighters for a laugh. I enjoy World Heroes 2 with Nath. More so than SF as we both don't know what we're doing equally.

Darkstalkers/Vampire Series
Virtua Fighter 1+2

pubjoe wrote:Best Fighter ever made: Street Fighter 2. Today I'd prefer to play a variant like 2X, but the creation of SF2 was a cosmic wonder.

And just to be different, erm, IK+. :awe: About the only fun fighter prior to SF2.
100% agree :hinthint: :fastlove:

i loved ik+ on the c64, backflippin heaven

I agree on the sf2 ,though for years i found it hard to play any of the others versions as they just didnt seem right/original to me ,saying that some of them where the stupid hacked versions where there was fireballs coming from every where :problem:

so erm list
sf2 (then most of the varients but mainly 2x)
soul edge /soul caliber
kof 96 ---,94,98
tekken
virtua fighter (may have been 2 i preferred cant remember anymore ) the rest didnt
ik+
garou
wrestlefest (would that be a fighter or just rasslin) ?
mk2 then 1
buriki one

cant believe no one picked pitfighter yet :problem:

IK+ was great. Fast, responsive, satisfying, funny, great music and ott sound effects. It was hard at first to hit eachother but that just added to the hilarity. You could get pretty good at it with a little practice. I can't think of another 1v1 fighter before SF2 that didn't feel like a chore.
