I imagine that Kern was as excited as Mr Tucker when he was told that SFV was being released....

I've been playing Super Fighter III all day, and I can assure you that it's better than SFIV and SFV. :awe:

Apparently guard meters are back, which is good - because I think we can all agree that is what's missing from SF4.

Yeah it's loads better, because it's actually Street Fighter and not Killer Instinct.

With an end of the year, and some kind of a platform deal, it probably makes sense to announce for everyone involved.

Interesting but early... probably why there was no wow moment... hope the air/juggle game doesn't go get too over the top.

Fun with V but looks way too similar to IV.
Also graphics are going closer to Tekken style....dunno about that...

Chun-Li looks much less of a lifeless marionette than in IV. I'll get it on steam when it's £3.

Capcom took the money from Sony to make an exclusive rehash because they were so desperate for cash. MUST BUY! :awe:

Street Fighter V only has two characters; Ryu and Chun Li.
There were only two characters in the trailer; Ryu and Chun Li.
You only need two characters. Ryu and Chun Li. That's all you need.
They look better; everything about Street Fighter V looks better than Ultra Street Fighter IV.
All you need in Street Fighter is Ryu and Chun Li.
You'll have to wait until the next game, Super Street Fighter V, for two more characters. Those two more characters will be Cammy and Guile.
You'll have to wait until Super Street Fighter V Arcade Edition for the next two characters. Those next two characters will be Oni and Evil Ryu.
Then there'll be Super Street Fighter V Arcade Editon version 2016, which will have two more characters added. Those two characters will be Rolento and Makoto.

Back by popular demand in version 2018 will be Gouken and Twelve.
Then, in 2020, the fighting game community will be shocked and awed by the amazing representation of Gill as the new boss in the version 2020 (it used to be Ryu, or if you played as Ryu, Chun Li). The second new character in version 2020 will be Rose. Rose will have a story to do with Gill, for a change.

The reason for only two new charcters at a time is getting the sculpture that good, especially the heads, is really tricky. Capcom knows the importance of getting this right, especially after the travesty that was Street Fighter IV. No more rubbish.

The gameplay looks more fluid and fast, nothing seemed to have a start-up delay, which is good cause any start-up delay is kind of a pet hate of mine (major undestatement).

I hope this clears up any confusion as to what Street Fighter V is like. Two characters, remember. That is all. Ryu and Chun Li. All you need is Ryu and Chun Li. Ryu and Chun Li are the only characters in Street Fighter V. Source: Street Fighter V Gameplay Trailer.

tl;dr: Where are the other characters?! That's all of them, only Ryu and Chun Li?! ... They look better, they're fine. So: alright.

That comment about Killer Instinct was pretty spot on. That's all I can see when I look at the game-play trailer.

It looks okay I guess. I have no desire to own a nextgen console but if I did I'd probably give this a miss. If I start playing a new 1v1 fighting game I'd want to go all in and be 100% dedicate and not play it half-arsed. I don't find playing a game like this casually much fun, I'm either all or nothing. I don't get that much free time these days unfortunalty :( And besides ST is probably still gonnna be king :)

It will be hard... they need something new and at the same time not to over do it . So far it looks promising but lets see.

Like an FPS mode, where the street fighter gang dress in army gear and run around a base shooting each other with guns.

Or just let people wiggle random directions and mash buttons to get special moves. Oh wait, IV already did that. :awe:

Seriously though, would be funny if after all this "support" for the "scene" Capcom decided to try and appeal even more to the casuals.

That's the whole point of my jesting... Them casuals... :problem: they'd buy a 6 month old cow pat if it had Call Of Duty written on top. They are a lost cause. But I do agree... It would be very productive if they could get the casuals playing.

And people who play SFIV would buy Giga-Spinarooni Street Fighter IV Special if Capcom released it.
