Re: NAMCO Jamma To JVS Adaptor Credits Problem
I've got a copy manual at home I need to scan. The adaptor was originally from a Cyberlead, but I've found out recently they were available seperately too.
Does the coin mech work with normal JVS games?

The Konami one doesn't either.serantes wrote:Also thats a pity this adaptor dosent converts low res into 31k
If they did, I'd imagine they'd command prices £250+

Re: NAMCO Jamma To JVS Adaptor Credits Problem
Most of the JVS I/Os need coin meters to be fitted in order for coin entry to function.
Also I think the Namco had it's own I/O board that goes with this, and I am certain that while the test/service/player 1 and 2 inputs where the same, the coin inputs where different to the Naomi JVS I/O.

Re: NAMCO Jamma To JVS Adaptor Credits Problem
Im using it in a naomi cab with an atomiswave motherboard, everything except the coin meters worksdoutor wrote:Hi, there.
I've mentioned about coin mod a little on other thread before, but if you're talking about coin meter ploblem, you need to re-wire, since pinout on that converter slightly differs from JAMMA. It would be helpful, if cools could upload pinouts of it, since I don't have it with me right now. Dip sw. is usually not involved.
On what cab, are you using this??

thats incredible, that they did that kind of things on the jvs standart, but if you think this is bad, i got an even worst thing, some 246 games use different jvs maps, so you need to rewire the controlls of the same system in order to pay a different game

Re: NAMCO Jamma To JVS Adaptor Credits Problem
I don't know if there is a language thing going on (coint meters vs coin input), but the JVS standard is pretty straight forward when it comes to coin input. If your cab coin input works with e.g. Naomi - it should work with a JVs->JAMMA adapter, unless it's buggy, or it's configured wrongly.
I programmed this for the the JVS-PAC firmware, and the only distinction it makes between different I/O boards is if there is support for 1 or 2 coin chutes.

if you are going to just get that thingle, better find someone who imports it to you, deputy services are ok if you plan to buy a pile of things, otherwise its not worth, for not expensive auctions you end paying a lot more whats worth, plus you have to pay shipment and risk yourself to get raped by customsglstar wrote:Yes but there's some sites that can do the deal for you.doutor wrote:Sellers for those two items would not have shipped worldwide anyway, like most others...

just to show you how much buy something like this is :
regular item that finishes at 6.000 yen
winning bid :6000yen
shipment to deputy offices : 1310yen
deputy comision :$12.00
bank payment comision : $2.50
total item cost $100.50
so 100usd for something that costs 6000 yen notice that you still have to ship this item to your home and customs may charge you import taxes, also notice those numbers are from 3 months ago, yen is much more stronger now.
Deputy services are worth only if you are going to get a pile of things
