SF2 CPS1 Help/Question
Can anybody tell me what the highlighted Japanese text says? I have no intro music on my SF2CE board, but I do have in game music and SFX. I entered the configuration menu to this screen, and as you can read below it states that the intro sound is off. I presumed that this would be a simple case of flicking the joystick down through the menu to the intro sound 'off' and turn it 'on'. The problem is that I cannot do anything on this screen, I'm stuck on the highlighted Japanese word when entering this screen and can't do anything other than exit to the previous menu screen. The joystick selects up, down, left and right on all other menu screens except this one. Any suggestions?
I currently do not have a kick harness connected, but the rest of the menu screens only require the use of punch 1 and 2.
Thanks for looking.

Re: SF2 CPS1 Help/Question
That screen just looks to show how the physical DIP switches are set.
If you take a look at the board you should see three banks of DIP switches. You can set them as follows. Make sure the power is off before changing them.

If you toggle the dip switches with that screen displayed they tally back in real time.Make sure the power is off before changing them.

Never read the sheet, just assumed that's what that screen was for.
I think the Japanese text refers to a second player joining mid way through a game.

Re: SF2 CPS1 Help/Question
I've had a fair few CPS boards and have never had any issues.
There is also a DIP that freezes the game (ideal for photos, etc) that's a pretty useless function if you have to switch the board off every time you use it.

Re: SF2 CPS1 Help/Question
Thanks for the advice guys, I now have that nostalgic intro theme ringing out of my cab speakers Any ideas what function the Japanese text refers to?

Find your Dip Switch "C" on the "A" board, flip it ON, then turn the game on. You should hear Demo Sound.ninjawyatt wrote:
