New year, new cab, new lust for playing games
I'm going to keep this mofo locked in until I improve on my previous high score at least.

Re: Strikers 1945
I might have to play Call of Jesus now though, my Strikers is very poorly. It's always had BG and Work RAM issues but it's gone from bad to worse and it's pretty much unplayable now Looks like I'll be on the lookout for another

Re: Strikers 1945
Nice one Chem, I expect good things from you
Yeah, I'm a bit gutted about this one. They are cheap enough to buy but it would be nice to get this one working again. I'll bump an old tech thread and see if I can get some help in fixing it.

Re: Strikers 1945
Best to date! Doesn't change the standings but it was the first time I've seen 1-6.

Re: Strikers 1945
I think this is the only "modern" (i.e. post 80's) shmup I actually 1cc'ed (well, the first loop anyway), and that was back in the arcades in about '97.
Anyway, 18 years on and I'm getting close
GOZ - bf109 - 1-8 - 671,400

Re: Strikers 1945
Woohoo, did it
And lasted about 5 seconds in the 2nd loop
GOZ - bf-109 - 2-1 - 793,900
Actually finished on over 800k but points scored in the 2nd loop didn't count for some reason

Re: Strikers 1945
Thanks man! It was an exciting run, had to use up all my lives and bombs before the final form of the last boss, wasn't sure I'd be able to dodge those last few waves. What was KEY for me in stages 7+8 is to NOT fully power up after a death, but instead just grab 1 or 2 powerups, it keeps the bullet speed much more manageable.

Re: Strikers 1945
Argh, 2 deaths on 1-7 boss, like a chump.
I swear I had over 800,000 at the end of the first loop... Do you lose points somehow???
[edit] finally broke 800,000
GLX - P-51 - 2-1 - 866,900
[edit] Also, you can yank my 4th place and 2nd place score, and replace them with my 1ST PLACE score
