Knowing this place, could it be either a throbbing monster male chicken or a CPS3 cart with a standard SH2 CPU attached which, with the assistance of a custom BIOS, is capable of running decrypted code?

Well, there is still a lot of work to do. The new BIOS has a problem with the cursor when selecting the game to upgrade and that needs fixing. Also I will update the picture shown when rewritting to show the current game being rewrited.
Also I may add support for original CDs and decrypt on the Go. Think that what makes the upgrade so slow is the flash memory write cycle, so there is plenty of time left for decrypting. Also I'd like to finish tables for all games, including for SFIII-2I which were not needed so far, but they will be needed for standard SH2.

Next project will be DECO multi kit

It'd be great to keep in mind that besides regions, there are multiple revisions of each game besides the usual 3S A and B. Eventually, it would be great if all versions are captured within this multi boot.

Darksoft is only going to do one version of each game for the Multibios. He has already stated that. While I can't speak for him, he wants to wrap this up soon and get started on a new project. I can't blame him, he's been working on CPS3 for years now. Literally YEARS. I'd want to do something else also.

But what is exciting is this. If he is able to get the standard SH2 carts to work with original disks, you can play any revision of any game you want.

On a side note, does anyone know any of the differences in the revisions of the games OTHER than 3S?

Shame the BIOS can't be reprogrammed without opening the cart, but no big deal. Also a shame that there's no true resurrection. However all the stuff needed for "rescuing" a dead cart now is public, so if anyone wants to do it cheaply - feel free.

Hey Mitsu, can't seem to get this video to play. Is it working for anyone else? The custom sh2 video on your channel works fine though.

Interested to see the difference between them.

Had to reupload the video. Fixed now. There is basically no difference when you look at it. The menus are exactly the same and it does the same thing. But right now more games are working for the SH-2 version and in my opinion the games feel like they play better also.
