Epic Sega Megatech Warehouse Find
Hey Guys,
got a great story for you all.
After giving a training on CRM in the east of Flanders, I opened the yellow pages app and looked up some arcade vendors. I don't visit that region often so whenever I have time and I'm out of East-Flanders/Antwerp I start calling random operators for pcb's and mvs.
This old guy picked up and invited me to come over immediately. So I did. Upon arriving I explained him I was looking for arcade pcb's and games so he showed me his warehouse, ... , what a mess.
He simply left me there for an hour, he was drinking some wine in another room, he looked a bit tipsy when I arrived but it was nice of him to let me search the place, great fun.
I had to take a ladder only to find a box on the very top shelf, 4 meters up with nothing but Sega Megatech Games, and another and another box.
Found al kinds of arcade pcbs all over the place.
I found some homemade bootleg pcb's wich he confirmed his technicians made inhouse in the early 90's, I will have these dumped by my good friend in The Netherlands. Found some really strange bootlegs... but...
After coming home with my epic loot, I started counting the sega megatech games and got to a whopping 197 games. I will pick up the cabinet later, I also took another sega megatech mainboard pcb.
197 games, pic attached, I really don't know what to do with them. I also didn't know Golf games were the hype in the 90's...
Pic attached, very happy with this haul, got really exited when unloading my car, almost ignored my 3 year old coming home . He helped sorting them.
Wanted to share this story, so if anyone needs some Golf, Soccer or BBall sega megatech games, I have a surplus right here.

Very nice find. Are you looking to sell these or just give them away?

Re: Epic Sega Megatech Warehouse Find
Yeah,
I was quite surprised, most old arcade operators are empty, I'm always happy to find some who still have stuff. In Belgium, bootlegs are 85% of all boards you find, so finding an original board is near impossible. Except for early Konami boards, those are common over here.
I will hold on to the games for a while, until I pick up the cabinet, then I might put them up for trade, only the ones I have extras for.

Great find, some harder to find more expensive ones there too!
It's a shame there was original boxes to go with them but you can't have everything

Great find zebow2002 !
If you want to trade/sale some cartridges, I'm interested by Mystic defender and Spiderman
I think I already have the other games.

Re: Epic Sega Megatech Warehouse Find
Well, I will let them go eventually but I want to wait until the end of September. I already have a friend of mine, who has an arcade business his whole life, that is going to make an offer for the entire warehouse. I will get everything that is not pinball and jukebox related.
So I'll wait till I can really clear out all boxes and who knows what I'll find. And the last thing I want is to find boxes for games I don't have. I will be soldering the extra mainboard this evening to get it to work on jamma and test the games... all of them so that's going to be a long evening.
Already tested some double dragon bootlegs and a bubble bobble bootleg.
There is a completely rusted Original Nintendo Donky Kong Junior board that fries my supergun when I hook it up , can't have everything.
I'll update the thread when I get back over there by the end of september.

Re: Epic Sega Megatech Warehouse Find
Golf games were always huge. I remember a lot of my friends dads played them obsessively. You'd always see lads in their 30's playing Neo Turf Masters religiously in the arcade as well. Just think of how many Golden Tee machines were about in the 00's.
Spiderman Vs The Kingpin was the **** (assuming that's the Spiderman game in question). Maybe a bit dated at this stage but working out how to trap enemies in their repetitive patterns was very moreish.
