Mouse in Joy now works for the Zero. Scumm emulator with mouse control using the analog stick.

Re: GCW Zero
I tend to do the Monkey Islands whenever they're re-released. Wouldn't mind doing DOTT again though, FOA has been a few times. The only one I've never played through at all is The Dig

Re: GCW Zero
The Dig is great, quite epic in its presentation (for the time), great music and cut-scenes and you get Robert Patrick voicing the lead guy. Great fantasy story imo, well worth a play all the way through.

Looking at the comments, they're hoping to dispatch some Zeros from within Europe to avoid customs charges.
Dott is one of my favourite point and clicks too. Absolutely timeless game. Unbelievable that it's never been re-released.

Re: GCW Zero
If they were to release it again, then they'd probably ruin it. I really wouldn't want to see a half assed 3d version of the game.

Oh I hope not. That's my point. There'd be no need to update it. It doesn't look out of date at all.supergoose wrote:If they were to release it again, then they'd probably ruin it. I really wouldn't want to see a half assed 3d version of the game.

Re: GCW Zero
Will it emulate Neo Geo better than the Neo Geo X?

Re: GCW Zero
Potentially, slightly. The screen is more suitable.
To be anal about it (and I know you like anal)... Neo Geo games are designed to display in 4:3 ratio at 320x224. The Zero screen is 4:3 at 320x240 and the NeoGeoX is 16:9 at 480x272 - a strange and completely unsuitable choice of screen for a console dedicated to NeoGeo. So in practice, while both systems can display a crisp 1:1 image (which is 7% shorter than intended), only the Zero will do so at nearly* full screen (*16 pixels of letterboxing). The NeoGeoX 1:1 rendering would be too small, so it achieves full screen with aliasing and a compensating graphics filter that spoils the image.
There is obviously also a widescreen stretch option on the NeoGeoX if you want to make the image even worse.

Re: GCW Zero
They're hoping to begin shipping the Zeros by the end of the Month.
Dosbox now ported. vid 1 and vid 2.
The GCW team are also after donations so they can buy the Atari brand. I'm a bit uncomfortable about that, but there you go. Better they have it than some t-shirt company or whatever I guess, but personally I don't know enough about GCW to believe in donating my money towards their "the cause".
