I understand where the yoke, degauss, rgb, and ground wires go, but the power cable is messing with my head. Do I have to buy a cable and solder?
PSU is from a Capcom Impress.

Anyone? I thought the MS-9 was compatible with my tube. Are there different versions?

I'm not familiar with that PSU, but normally the monitor power comes direct from the mains. So if that's definitely for the monitor it will probably only be a mains pass-through anyway. It's the same setup on the Neo29 for example.

Basically a straight connection from the mains in of the PSU to that socket. The chassis is 100v on an MS9, so it would have to be.

I think I understand now. The electrical socket I have highlighted on the PSU is just a pass through for 100v. Technically, I could plug my OEM chassis directly to the mains at my house and by-pass the PSU and it would work without damaging it? I am in USA so the mains are 120v. (Warning.....do not attempt to plug your chassis into your mains outlet. It will fry your chassis, put you at risk for shock, and capacitors could explode.)

Is there possibly an adapter I could get? The part I dont get is, I keep reading everywhere the MS9 is compatible with my tube (yoke spec ect), but the power cable is not compatible with my PSU or mains socket.

My MS9 is running on 122v, everything I've read leads me to believe that's okay. It's been running on that voltage for 2 years.

So your MS-9 has a typical USA house prong that plugs into the PSU?

Well, I rewired mine to run off the Naomi iso, but essentially it's the same, all it's doing is stepping down my 244v mains.

I put the chassis in the cab just to see if there is going to be any other problems once I sort the AC problem.

The degaus, both yokes, and grounds will not fit with the OEM connectors from the Yahama tube.

Is this just because its an older MS-9? I thought this was plug and play w/ my tube? Or atleast thats what i keep hearing and reading from others. I guess not all MS-9's are the same?

Regardless should i sell this and try to get an MS9-29A or will I run into the same problems.

I feel a bit more patient and appreciate everyones help. I will keep the MS-9 for a project cab if needed. If it not exact plug and play than I will at least learn how to identify these connectors. I am just so eager to get my fix in and play this cab. Ive been researching like crazy for the past two month and enjoy the project but I started this thread because I just cant find enough research to move forward. I do have one question though. Do all versions of the ms-9 have the same connectors? Basically would I have ran into the same problem with the MS-9A. Just trying to put this all into perspective.

Yes, I have 29T,29S and 29SE and they all have the same connectors on the chassis.
I would guess the 29A is exactly the same.
I think the ending letters is for the cables that comes with the chassis, for example: 29T has Taito cables that fits in a Egret 2, 29S has sega connectors on the cables to fit in a new astro etc.

That output on the impress panel is a straight trough connection to the input so yes will be the same as your mains input, in your case 120 volt which should be fine for the Impress.
