As I said several times, the graphics are just amazing. The pinnacle of 2d? The programmers have stated they wanna release the definitive 2d game...

High-res 2D sprites is nice, though I find the chosen art-style disappointingly generic/bland. I hope it is not as lazily animated as the old KOF titles, MOTW smoothness please...

There were some closeups in Arcadia that showed some pretty intricate clothing animation going on. If anything its the effects I'm worried about.

If it looks as good moving as the screens and plays as well as XI its going to be great.

Never been a big fan of the KoF series, same as Virtua Fighter the movelists never really seemed complete to me. To be fair tho I haven't played one since neowave :P

Was 98 not the one that got a re-release this year?

KOF98 Ultimate is starting to get very cheap.

I like some of the playmore stuff, granted it's not that "fresh" but it's still playable. KOF2002 is still popular (in my house)

I played the arcade version of 98 UM on Sunday and I was not very impressed, much prefer the MVS version.

KoF´98 UM is fantastic, you REALLY need to check it out in-depth if you like ´98. The controls are much better, and the changes are well-thought and definitely add to the game.

I only played a couple of games in Casino arcade in London on a Megalo and something seemed not quite right, everything seemed to lag compared to the mvs version.

I never noticed anything like that, but I only know the PS2-port. Never heard of this problem on the arcade version either. :?

not MVS cheap though. I played it and liked it but I found myself asking, Why Am I playing this in the arcade when i have it at home on MVS. But for the level i play KOF on I could not see a big enough difference.

So was there ever a version released with the fatalities intact?
