it's also off the rrp, which most online stores, and several high street stores have been doing for months.

Personally i'm happy with the 20 free games, there is anything between £50 and £100 of content there based on current pricing
20 free games  Any idea what they might be?

I'll finally get to give one of these a go this weekend!

Also, giving away years old 2D games on a console meant for 3D? What are Nintendo thinking?

The 3D Golf game on the eShop is worth a download, plays like Everybody's Golf series of games. But in 3D of course. Cheep too at £5.49. 3D Xevious looks weird, they have added the depth to the original game so that ground and sky targets are clearly defined.

I quite like the 3DS as long as the 3D is turned off.

Thoughts:

It's a nicely built device. Feels as solidly constructed as the Wii and GBA SP, and original GB.
Battery life is laughable for a handheld.
It's like playing games in a lift. Too much muzak and plinky sounds everywhere.
The 3D is nice. However, the distance it has to be held for the effect to work properly is ludicrously small. I've not played a handheld that close to my face since I was seven and signicantly shorter than I am now. Playing it at a comfortable distance makes my eyes strain hard and dampens the effect. As such there's no way I'd buy one for use with any 3D games.
The analogue nub is superb. I prefer it to the sticks on a 360 or PS3 pad. They've done a brilliant job with it for old DS games too. Playing Mario Kart DS with the nub is vastly superior to playing with the dpad, even though the DS didn't have analogue input.

The most entertainment we had out of it was stress testing the Pokedex image recognition by pointing the DS at a monitor with loads of Pokemon markers on it...

Nice novelty, lets see what Nintendo can do next though.

Def buy one now. It shouldn't have been over £150 in the first place. Don't care if it's 6D or can turn into a real house. A handheld at handheld prices.

Just sold mine. Good riddance.

The viewing angles for the 3D effect to work are really narrow. It just got uncomfortable after a while
