NeoGeoSoft.com needs your help.

Post by rcantor77 »

http://www.neogeosoft.com is now live and needs your help.

I have setup NeoGeoSoft to provide the community a place where you can locate information and artwork for the entire Neo Geo game library.

I know there are sites already out there providing a Neo game list, but I wanted to create one that could be filtered or sorted and therefore making it easier to get out information.

Currently, I have not included Homebrew and Unofficial game releases but I will be looking to add them to the site shortly.

As for the Artwork, this is where I need your help. As you can see I have only currently added the MVS artwork that I own, so if you can spare the time to scan in yours or post them to me and I am more than happy to do the scanning. I am also looking to eventually collate AES and CD scans to the site. So if anyone can provide them now then that would be great.

If you can help, I have currently scanned everything as 300dpi JPEG.

I was going to provide an upload feature to the site, but that is open to abuse so probably will not. For now, please send any scans to contribute@neogeosoft.com

Your help is much appreciated.

Hopefully you will find the site a useful place.
So please let me know your thoughts about it. Any filters that maybe of use, or perhaps other information that you think the site is missing... or wrong.

The original thread for this is over on Neo-Geo.com...

Cheers mate.

I see by your avatar you are a Neo fan too.

If you have any artwork you would like to contribute, then send them over.
I still have alot to work through, but anything is appreciated. Even if I have them they maybe of better quality.

Thanks again.

Wow that's a really nice looking site, I love my MVS properly more than anything else I own, so this is for sure going straight onto my fav list :)

I don't have a scanner but if I having anything artwork wise that you are missing I will give you a nod, great site though, you should be proud.

Looks like a great resource. Neo-Geo.com has been festering for years so it's nice to see something fresh and enthusiastic.

Thanks guys. I am happy that people are finding this site useful.

If you check out the original NG forum thread you can see what changes I have made so far.. search facility, updates list, rental carts etc
So anything you think may be useful to have on the site, do let me know. I am keen to make this a big Neo resource.

As for the artwork, yes there is loads of scans coming in and I am slowly working through them. Got loads to go.
Keep checking back on the site as I have added the 'Latest Updates' section to provide info of what was added/updated when...

http://www.neogeosoft.com/?section=updates

I am glad that the filters and sorting is of benefit, I wanted to make getting the info people wanted ads easy as possible.
Hopefully it was obvious that each row is a click able link to take you to individual game info. It concerned me that people might miss that.

The newest section is for 'Rental Carts'...http://www.neogeosoft.com/?section=mvs_rental
So if anyone can provide better pictures or perhaps some new games not listed that would be much appreciated.

Thanks again guys. Keep your comments and scans coming.

That site looks great. I don't really have anything to contribute to it but I really appreciate the hard work that goes into site like this. Keep up the good work.

I played Galaga on that very Madonna. I can't remember, but I think Briggs got that for free or something.

All of my MVS are in storage, but whenever I dig them out I'll scan all my artwork.

I have the sengoku 3 kit. i could scan that for you if you like. :)
The screws used to seal up this cart are wood screws. Nobody is going to waste good wood screws on a bootleg, they'd just use cheap electronic screws instead.

Cheers mate, still got some to upload but any you can offer is much appreciated.
Even if I have them on the site, if can provide higher res then that would be great.

So you know Josh then...?
A busy man, which is why I am running the site for him... if anyone has any updates/contributions for hardMVS then let me know.

I have a metric ****-ton of mini marquees, but no scanner at home. I could just scan it all at work, but people would probably wonder what the hell I'm doing heh.

Maybe it's time to buy a scanner.
