its pretty good ... only had about 10 mins so far .. they have resisted the urge to go for a capcom type Kombo ( sorry :awe: ) system, and as such it really retains that original MK feel... the fatalaties are more visceral than ever ( he he ) , but it really does have something beyond that original gimmick....Sound is great if you run on good speakers also......

without a stick you dont have much chance at this due to the pace of the old MK system and pulling the finishers in time ( unless I am getting too old ? )

Liking it so far ( but too ealy to find dislikes yet )

I cancelled my preorder about a week before the release. Played the demo a bit. Not my cup of tea. I still prefer Guilty Gear (and BlazBlue :palm: )

+ Surprisingly deep
+ Feels right
+ X-Ray moves
+ Satisfyingly gory
+ Loads to do, on the disc (up yours Capcom)

- Nasty character art
- Meh graphics
- No online with used copies
- Cheating bosses
- The lack of joystick circles and the block button are taking some getting used to again

8/10 :awe:

Amazingly, I think this is a better buy than MVC3. It's packed with kontent and is very satisfying and fun to play. Story mode is very kool. Not being able to skip kutscenes is stupid and 2 vs 1 fights can seem unfair but it's a brilliant introduction to all the kharacters.

These were features of pretty much all the MK games, to be honest (and ESPECIALLY the first three).

Like Pang said. The character art is really horrid this time around for some. Lui kang and Kung Lao look the worst. Jonny Cage's hair looks like a bristled back scrubber. :? Some characters look kind of impressive. So it's either really good art or really bad art, no in between.

Oh, and the AI is the cheapest EVER! :palm:

First MK game I got since II, loving it so far.
Cutscenes can be skipped after completing storymode once. As soon as I get a decent stick for this I am really going to put some time in this game.
MKII is still the best of thr series with 9 being a very close second.

I tend to pick up most fighters, but just cant bring myself to spend full price on this, just never get the playtime out of fighters any more... I will wait tills its in a sale I think...

Glad it sounds good.

The demo does it no justice. It was fun when it was released, but nothing compared to the real deal. Obviously
I would say rent it or borrow it, or even go to a gamestop to see if they still have it running on their display tvs.
It's fun, and I stopped playing MK for a few years, now I play it everyday.

However if you get if for PS3, the system is down and there was a update to the game for some reason. Does anyone know what that update did?
