Yes, it's a two eeprom swap. I would suggest using the zakk version.

Thanks but those roms do not check anymore. Also heard you have to clip jumper 3 and 4. So going back to the original Taiwan version is impossible after that?

About the zakk hack. These are ips patches. How do you patch the original JP roms?

The classic IPS.EXE. Used to apply hacks/patches to ROMs. Usage is "IPS x.rom y.ips" where x is the name of the target rom, and y is the patch file in the same directory. Now includes the Turbo Pascal source code!

Download the MAME ROMs and an IPS patcher. Good to go.

The Jumpers can be easily soldered back if required.
