hi what kind of trackball would i need for a sega astro city is their one i could use to mount to a astro panel plate witch i think i have seen for sale somewhere on the net or maybe i could buy a real astro trackball panel .

Astro trackball panels do pop up from time to time on Yahoo, but nothing recently.

Wouldn't take much to make one. I'm drilling a hole in one of my frankenpanels tonight for the paradise arcade one that I got.

what trackball should i buy and how many connections do i need.
also is there anything else i should know like can i damage a pcb by using a trackball not made for a sega cab.

You could track down a virtua golf/dynamic golf control panel - I got a minty one on ebay for 120 USD shipped.
