Im up for this is MAME submissions get into play. My arcade adventure doesn't start till next month, so obviously my pcb collection will be next to non-existent

I'd be up for some Pubble Bozzle. I haven't played it in a while, but it's always good fun. :)

It seems most people are keen on PB for the first round. Anyone have other suggestions? Should we get a poll going?

Nice one. I'm predicting a landslide. Should be good fun even though I'm crap at PB. :awe:

Puzzle Bobble would be a great choice. Are there any region differences? I think mine comes up as Bust-a-Move.

I'm the only one that voted for something else. :palm: :awe:

I don't own any Neo stuff so my vote would be for one of the Gaelco/Kaneko Rally games

^ Gaelco does have World Rally up as a legally-available download for personal use in MAME on this page, though (scroll down a bit - it's under the "News" heading). Might be useful.

I'd love to take part in this if/when games I own (which are scattered across boards, official emulated/MAME-based compilations, and legal download releases for MAME such as the above) come up, incidentally, so consider me interested, too. :P

I thought quite a few people owned World Rally...

We could always survey those interested in participating and find out what games they own, and then pick the most popular/owned game for the competition.

tbh i do think pb is a great starting point it cheap easy and alot of people have it or can access its good to have some variety before it just gets bogged down with shmups, there are loads of decent games that can be used snow bros ,world rally,AVP :awe:

I have WR and Great 1000 Miles Rally and I think they are both pretty good choices too. Especially with the WR ROM being free for use. There will be other chances if PB wins though. :)

Pretty sure it's just a title/language change on mvs games

It's a great game to start with, it's cheap, easily available and easy to play :D

I'm gonna get my game on on mame till I get my cart. :awe: gotta practice was never good at PB
The screws used to seal up this cart are wood screws. Nobody is going to waste good wood screws on a bootleg, they'd just use cheap electronic screws instead.

Anyone got an MVS Puzzle Bobble they can lend me?
Otherwise I vote Ibara, Progear or Metal Slug as these are the only PCB's I still own :awe:

When's this tourney starting? I need to muster up energy to rotate a cab and change games. :palm:
I guess it is a good excuse to fix up my mame pc in the cab. I broke it some time ago with some Soft15khz experiments.
Never actually played the game before

I was thinking 1st April with scores to be submitted by 30th April, but as Mark mentioned some folks might like a bit more time until it starts. I guess it depends on popular consensus really. :awe:
