Any alternative to 100yen coins?

My Astro has got a AD-81P2 coin mech in it which is designed for 100yen coins - are there any alternatives that i can use - tokens, other coins etc? i have a friend who i going to japan next week and can bring me some coins back but i want to use the thing now!!

euro 5 cents work the same or buy a s10 1 pound coin mech

Hi Chubsta,

I've converted all of mine to 20p which is very easy.

Alternatively I can supply one for £8.50 inc PP & P&P already done for 20p.

Most coin mechs can be adjusted to accecpt different size coins. The coin insert is another story however.. that may need to be modified to accept wider/bigger coins.

All of my mechs are setup to take sega tokens :ugeek:

Again, another nice guide that went the way of the dodo with KC.

Basic idea is you gently adjust the metal catching piece with some pliers, and the rest with a screwdriver.
