I got these price of play stickers included with one Pony. I have a hunch they are what was originally supplied - anyone able to disprove this?

Arguments for:
1) The cabinet also came with an original wiring schematic
2) They are sealed, in a 2 pack of 50/100 just like Sega/Taito stuff.
3) The plastic has that sort of "old" feel to it
4) They have a similar aesthetic to the cab, the font is kind of similar to the lightbox small text.

They'll either be from Jaleco or the distributor. Best bet is to look in the manual if you have it.

All I could find was this pic taken from one of the Doxter booklets.

I didn’t think I’d ever own one of these again. I got very lucky. Huge thanks to G60hot for the cab, Gargoyle67 for the MS8-25, Grantspain for bringing it back to life - beautifully, and also cools, Rossyra, MarkedKiller78, crunchywasp, BloodHokuto and Wigsplitta for bits and bobs, advice and encouragement.

It’s had a powder coat in RAL 9016, ~40% gloss (Perfect job by Clockwork Powdercoating in Eastbourne). I’ve got a bunch of photos I could do a little thread with but maybe should wait until it’s more finished.

One of those stickers came with mine.

[edit]Actually, no. Different size, different font.

Awesome! I never pulled the trigger on that cab from John. I have a NOS 25" tube and chassi laying around which would've been perfect but I also already have a nice cab so I'm glad it went to someone who appreciate it. :)
Btw: I recently bought new buttons for mine and I went with Seimitsu PS-14-G snap ins in original colour scheme. I opted however for new LS32 with two white fine mesh ball tops.

@cools you really need to make repros of those stickers now!

Good effort Joe, so glad you managed to get another Pony. I know you really regretted selling your last one, and even though you got another few cabs since, nothing quite lived up to it. I must admit I prefered playing against you on the Astro, but to each their own :awe:

Yeah, the PS-14-Gs are flyer faithful and I recently bought 24 of them. Then I decided I didn’t like them as much as the nuts I had last time and reordered PS-14-GNs :palm:

I’m being a dick really. I guess nuts just grew on me.

Nothing beats an Astro for fighters (except two Astros). I like the Pony for almost everything else. I have no immediate plans to sell the Astro. ♥️

I just got one of these cabs in nice shape and I can't find the oversized clear dustwasher that matches the Seimitsu LS-32, only the one for the JLF. Is this something anybody has sourced?

Nope, it seems like they were a Jaleco exclusive. Only way tends to be picking up a full Pony panel.

I've contemplated selling mine many times. Not sure that rarity equals high value in this case though.

These are for Seimitsus with a chunkier shaft. I wonder if a DIY shaft cover could make them fit an LS32 nicely.

surely 3d printing the dustwashers is the way to go ? :shifty:

3D printed translucent stuff usually looks pretty ugly, but this is a fairly simple thing to model. If someone with them can get the dimensions, maybe having them produced proper wouldn't be outrageously expensive.

Another option, which I tried for a while, is to mount a JLF instead of an LS-32, and use the readily available oversized dustwasher + clear shaft cover. This is fairly close stylistically.

I got lucky with this cab, as it was a gamble with KC, and I only got to see a pic of it off. Lucky me, that the tube is in good shape.

Is anybody aware of anybody making reproduction panels for these? Alternatively I'd cash out silly for an original so I can duplicate it.

If not, I'll get a few more dimensions and I can produce some blanks. Where I'd need some suggestions (should I do this) is where to space out controls and put joystick brackets and such. Considering using Sega reject buttons and coin inserts.
