I was going to take a pic of my board but this is probably better quality.

There's a mail strike in the UK, yes, but it ends today. Then of course there's a backlog.

By all means wait and see if anyone else has any ideas, but at this stage I think you'll need to send it off to someone.

There should only be two socketed EPROMs on the board (they should be side by side and have labels) unless someone has replaced any of the larger mask ROMs with an EPROM. The two EPROMs contain the main game code, most of the large mask ROMs contain graphics data except for two which house the sound samples.

Can you post a picture of your board?

Sure !

I put them on Megaupload so that you can have a zoom on the PCB. I tried with flash and not. I can't get to work my girlfriend huge Canon , so if you need more precise /lighter pics , i'll ask here to take them without any problem !

Certainly a good idea to use it as a donor board. What a pain that it's a dodgy custom. :(

Another question : What is this ?

Image

Does this component has to touch the grey part on the board ? Cause mine is to " up " to touch the board ...

Thanks !

I can't view it either, site must be down.

Catzoo - try uploading it somewhere else, such as Photobucket.

Okay, I can see the pic now.

That part is a crystal, it's fine as it is.

Ok , i was just wondering why it was " locked " down , and there was a metal sheet under " maybe that metal thing should touch that metal part ".

Damn damn damn , i'll probably sold it " as it " , if someone wants to buy / trade it , just Pm me , i don't have any money to spend trying to repare this , even if it may be easy :(

I'm so sad to sell it :(

Seems a hell of a shame not to repair it - it's quite a valuable board so is definitely worth the money if it can be fixed.

How much would you want for it as it is? If it's not too much I may be interested.

I don't really know , i know i waste my money , but i just get to the mail office , it will cost me 20€ or more to get it to you. The same to get it back , + your work. I'd rather sell it and save my money for a new one.

I may sold it around 110 i think :( Maybe to high , maybe to low , i don't know =/ The problem is i don't know if the chance to save it is around 1/10 or near 9/10 :silent:
